A Visual Guide to the Language, Applications, and History of Graphic Design

 1. W.A. Dwiggins
A fact I found interesting is he is often credited as inventing the term graphic design. Dwiggins was always experimenting with design. For example he messed with stamps, books, kites, theatrical sets and lighting.

2.Disciplines
 A. I would like to learn more about advertising and using digital media with it. I would like to learn this not only to possibly do it as a job but also for my own business.
 B. what I would use digital media marketing for is mainly my business. Also as to do side jobs for other companies.

3. Layout
  A. Subjective means people have different ideas how something should be designed and weather its a good design or not.
   B. People argue because people have many different opinion of what is good design.

4. The first picture looks like they are trying to advertise for delta airlines. They show there check in lines where you weigh your bags. They also show there logo on a plane and another plane flying behind it.
The Butterfeild Market looks like it might be a coffee shop. With the bag I would say they probably sell sandwiches or donuts too. Later on it gives you more pictures and it shows they cater as well.

The MTK looks like they are advertising for an award ceremony or speech. They have a podium and them long tables for people to listen to the speaker.

5. I would say for both giving you peace of mind is in there service. It could also try to show it in the logo. For example in FedEx it has an arrow in it maybe to symbolize quick delivery.
    A.  I would say the Ritz Carlton Logo does not convey for men and women. This is because the way the logo is styled reminds me of a lot of men's polos. Which doesn't not give me the feeling women are as welcome.
    I.  A logo is very important because if you have a cartoony logo people are going to think your business is casual so they will probably show up in sweatpants which is not good if you want to be a fancy place.

6. I worked for ground guys so I will be answering the questions about Ground Guys.
I would say there is a positive reaction with customers. There was a lot of people that apparated our work.
   A. I would say I would have a little bit of a negative stance with the business. It was 10 hour days and the boss was in the office a lot while we were all out there sometimes working over 11 hours and he would go home earlier than that.
